Canadian inspired and hand crafted in Colwell Bay on the Isle of Wight, Bush & Blair jerky offers a genuine, delicious and local product that can be enjoyed anytime, by anyone, day or night.

The beef is purchased locally and sliced by hand to ensure only the best cuts are selected, they are then marinated in Blair's families original recipe, dried and hand packaged. Approximately 20% is then stolen by our children.

Our mission is simple. Make good quality jerky for friends, family and anyone else with a good set of taste buds and have fun doing it.

Crisps have for too long held the title of 'best snack to have with a beer'.

BLAIR

Hailing from the Saskatchewan, Canada, Blair was lured to the Isle of Wight in 2016 by a siren. He was promised love, the wilderness and ice hockey.

Waving goodbye to his family and arriving on the shores of Ryde, he was greeted by a closed ice rink. People say you could hear his screams from space.

Canadians are an optimistic bunch and rather than wallow, Blair turned his energies to the other Canadian pass time - making jerky.

I asked him to look out to sea and look brooding for this photo, not really sure why. Although I think he's done a fine job.

BUSH

Bush is from all over. Born in Slough, moving to Manchester, Bournemouth, New Zealand and Uganda, he finally arrived on the Isle of Wight after ticking the wrong box on a job application form (true story) and decided to make it his home in 2012.

His well traveled palate gave him a love of spice,BBQ and the weird and wonderful. Although his love of travel remains strong, he is happiest in front of a fire slow cooking some sort of meat with a beer and a few pals on Colwell Bay.

Our offerings.#

As two chaps with normal jobs our plan is to stick to what we know we do well - original recipe jerky. These are available to buy on the Isle of Wight at a few selected stores, including Harvey Browns, Arreton - look out for us!

At some stage we will probably get on social media but neither of us own laptops and can barely use a mobile phone. Making this website was a stretch and required supervision from literate, functioning adults.
